Lutheranguest, what a great photo of Papa in the beret surrounded by all those little boys. He looks like he is praying with them. Reminds one of what a sweet, innocent, holy person he is.

This photo shows what seems to be a scar on Papa's forehead. I've noticed that in a lot of photos before. Supposedly he fell and hit his head several years ago and was bleeding quite badly before he was found. That must be what caused the scar. Thank God for whoever found him and got him to the hospital.

The scar at his left forehead comes from a fall on a radiator in the bathroom, during the vacation in Brixen in the summer 1992. The wound had to be sewn with ten passes.
I don't know anything about the reason of the fall.

I believe it was when he suffered a slight stroke. It was just around this time his sister died (I think she died before). A very low point in his life...

Lovely photo, Maklara! Papa with one of his indescribably candid expressions, what Ratzigirl likes to call a "faccia facciosa".

So what more can we say about someone who looks good any which way - no rock star ever looked this good, impromptu hairdo or not! Thanks to Ratzigirl for the photograph.
