Oh - just imagine! A hundred paths into the pine forests, the rays of the sun slanting through the trees, the mountain air, the views of Mont Blanc....the mountain air again.....oh oh oh!!!! To be there with him, just us.....I know, he needs peace, but we'll be very, very quiet....honest!!!!!!

Simone - Naturally, I was only thinking how helpful it would be to go for a walk with him, just to carry a rucksack with a bottle of Fanta and some chocolate bars, as he's bound to get hungry and thirsty in that fresh air. What! Moi? Would I have thought anything else? Remember Pooh Bear keeps me in order!

Thanks loads to Beatrice for these video-captures of Papino enjoying himself immensely during the festive encounter cum prayer vigil in Valencia last Saturday night. Papino is reacting to actor Lino Banfi calling him "the grandfather of the world." But he was radiating gigawatt smiles all night that night, it was sheer DEEEEEELIGHT!

Nothing can bring my heart more joy than seeing him so radiant with happiness.

It is so good to see him like that - I sometimes worry because he is so far away from his home and maybe lonesome. But when I look at these pictures I feel confident that Papa is happy with his life.

I think I've seen the first one of Joseph Ratzinger being made a cardinal - but it's always worth another look!!!! COR!!!!!! And the others.............COR! again. I wish I had known about him when Paul VI made him a cardinal. All those wasted years! Mind you, I'd have been exhausted by now. It's bad enough as it is, isn't it Nan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure does, especially when Papa goes casual. He definitely looks "dangerous" in that cap, especially when he has it tilted back on his head a bit.

I have not seen this picture before, it's truly a masterpiece. It's amazing how old fotos keep appearing - he must be the most photographed Cardinal ever. And I did love that sign 'pericolo di caduta' heheheh, as Teresa says, absolutely apt for Benaddicts going STUNC about the place.
