I can only hear the video clip but I can't see it - may be it's better for me. The photo is bad enough. This is not acceptable.

If Giorgio does not stop this in future we have to send in a petition.

Hey girls,

for me is the kissing cheeks very nice regard to Papa. I have nothing against it. We are humans mostly need human touch too. This is the reason, I think Papa understands the acting of woman as manifastation of respect to him as Vicar of Christ (kneel down and kissing the ring) and the show of love to him as human (kissing the face).
Maybe we are not used to behaving this way to Benedict,but remember how people behave to JP2.

Do you know that kiss on face was normal greeting in biblical times?
Btw, Georg was there too, he gave rosaries to Papa.

Actually, I am quite open-minded on this subject. I personally don't have a problem in the world with anybody kissing Papa on the face as long as it is not anybody but me.

I take it that Maryjos and NanMn haven't seen our postings or there would be a significant outburst from them.

Jil, I am glad you were joking, at least, about having your day ruined. However, I am sure you were serious in your remarks about all those other women kissing Papa. I just realized that besides Maryjos and NanMn, we haven't heard anything from Simone. I wonder if she has found a voodoo doll yet. She may want to choose another victim than Alessandra after seeing the video clip.

Everybody, I just read Rocco Palma's latest blog and look at this remark from it:

"We can only wonder if the Pope is handling it while wearing the blue tracksuits he favors during his leisure periods."

Has anybody seen Papa in a blue track suit? Does anybody think he really wears that in "his leisure periods" whenever those are? And where would those be--hanging around the papal apartments maybe, taking his daily walks in the Vatican Gardens??? Or is Rocco just hallucinating again?

Either my English is so bad and "blue tracksuit" means somethingelse or Rocco has reached the point of writing pure fiction. Papa is the last person in the world that would wear something like that. I often wondered what he is wearing in leisure, maybe a priest suit or something like that



but definitely not a blue tracksuit.

As, for some reason, there were very few pictures available from Papa's trip
to Bari in May 2005, I snap up everything I can see - this one was found by
beatrice.france in a back issue of "Inside the Vatican."


P.S. In case you have not seen them (in FOTO DA PAPA thread), Paparatzifan posted two series of large-format pictures of Papa at his Angelus sessions in Castel Gandolfo last summer - they are spectacular, PAPA AT GIGAWATT RADIANCE,you must save them all, but I can't resist sampling just one.
