Salve, ho aperto questo topic per chiedere qual è secondo voi la cover più orribile mai realizzata e che magari vi ha anche spezzato il cuore.
Ovviamente vale per tutti i generi musicali^^
Rispondo io per prima. Mi hanno fatto particolarmente male (ma male atroce) la cover di "Chop Suey!" realizzata da Avril Lavigne e quella di "Geordie", remixata e resa... Non so come definirla, è davvero un insulto al grande Faber ç_ç

Sapevo che aveva cantanto la cover di "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", e mi aveva fatto rizzare i capelli.

Infatti tra due asterischi ho scritto di aver già contattato Herm. È stata una svista^^ Visto che Herm pare sia assente, se puoi gentilmente spostarla nella sezione Musica^^

Oltre a Geordie che veramente mi faceva andare in bestia, c'era anche la cover di "Light My Fire" dei The Doors non ricordo chi fosse lo sgallettato che la cantava ma forse meglio così...

Nooo..io trovo la versione di Will young molto più carina di quella pizza dei Doors (e quì a molti di voi verrebbe da sbranarmi, anch'io lo farei se fossi una fan dei doors, ma perdonatemi, è come la penso).
Concordo su Avril Lavigne. La cover di knocking on heaven's door è a dir poco orrenda. Poi aggiungo 'Wild is the wind', che è bellissima nell'originale di Nina Simone (e anche nella cover di Jeff Buckley) ma è orrida nella cover di David Bowie (mi dispiace, David, ti amo ma lo devo ammettere).
Invece ho trovato molto bella la cover di Behind Blue Eyes dei limp bizkit, molto diversa dall'originale ma ben fatta.

Comunque davvero, se vi piacciono i System (io che li amo ho rischiato un colpo apoplettico) NON ascoltate Chop Suey! rifatta dalla Latrina, è davvero inascoltabile!
Non si ricorda le parole e quindi fa "Wake up! Lalalalalalala" T__T Io, se fossi in Serj e compagni, l'avrei arsa al rogo già da un bel po'.
Orrenda anche Basket Case, sempre fatta da questa qui.

Francamente a me non disturba.
Quelle che mi fanno saltare i nervi sono le canzoni di cui prendono DUE parole senza contesto, ci mettono i tunz tunz e pretendono di farci una canzone.
Quelle mi fanno andare in bestia!
Per quanto uno che canta la canzone di un altro possa anche non piacermi, ALMENO si è degnato di non estrapolare termini che hanno significa per dove sono e come sono!
Geordie continua a tornarmi in mente, chissà perché.

Le cover più brutte?
"Moonlight Shadow" cantata dai Groove Coverage è spaventosa. Io amo l'originale, quella è orribile ç_ç sul serio.

Devo dire che conosco più Cover belle (o comunque piuttosto riuscite) che brutte.
Ma sicuramente, quella copiona di Madonna si poteva risparmiare di inserire in Hung Up l'hook iniziale di Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! degli ABBA senza nemmeno far capire che l'aveva spudoratamente copiato O_o
E concordo su Avril LaLagna. Oddio, Imagine... ç.ç
