Curioso davvero il destino di questa canzone,tratta dalla colonna sonora di LOVE ME TENDER,per quanto riguarda la sua collocazione su album!La title-track non ebbe difficoltà,dato il suo successo,ad accasarsi su ELVIS'GOLDEN RECORDS già nel 1958,mentre POOR BOY e WE'RE GONNA MOVE andarono tranquillamente a finire,nel 1959 su FOR LP FANS ONLY e A DATE WITH ELVIS.E LET ME!?Come Marco ci fa notare,questo brano dovrà aspettare il 1971 per "sistemarsi"!Considerato che l'album in questione era il box quadruplo ELVIS:THE OTHER SIDES,WORLDWIDE GOLD AWARD HITS,VOLUME 2,non accessibile a tutte le tasche,siamo di fronte a uno dei pezzi maggiormente trascurati nell'imponente discografia di Elvis!LET ME trovò la sua collocazione definitiva solo trent'anni dopo la sua realizzazione,sullo splendido ESSENTIAL ELVIS,e poi successivamente su altri progetti di notevole spessore.Evidentemente è una canzone che si presta ad essere ripescata dopo molto tempo,l'ho fatto anch'io oggi!Mi piace molto,semplice e diretta.
