Judging by the initial Zionist vision of Eretz Israel, which not only included the entire Palestine under British Mandate but most of its Arab neighboring nation-states, and its actions since 1948, only self-denying morons would believe that a sovereign Palestinian State could co-exist with Zionist entity as equals.

It would be dumb of the world to believe that Zionist entity has respected the spirit of the Oslo accords, when between 1993 and 2000, the population of alien Jewish settlers doubled from 200,000 to 400,000 settlers.

One must not forget that Zionist entity is not a democracy, but a society based on caste-system, with least political and social rights for its Native Muslim and Christian and even for its Jewish subjects.

How one can be sure that Israel Occupation Force (IOF) soldiers, who are brainwashed to target Palestinian civilians deliberately, would change their nature? Pulitzer winning journalist Chris Hedges put it best when he said, referring to Israeli soldiers shooting at Palestinian children: I would never seen soldiers bait or taunt kids like this and then shoot them for sport.

A solution can never be built on a foundation of lies and fabrications.

One democratic Palestinian State over the pre-1948 Palestine with equal rights for both the Natives and the Alien Jews is the only viable solution for everyone concerned.

For a Secular, Democratic, Single State of Palestine
I thought I was well-informed on Palestine, but still reading Hilda Reilly's The Prickly Pears of Palestine was an eye-opening experience. It is a difficult book to read. At first I found the constant repetition of the word MARTYR to describe the dead annoying. But then, as misery piles upon misery, it brings a full understanding of just how devastating and all-pervasive is the reach of Israeli violence into the lives of Palestinian families. Reilly also does much to explain the disillusionment with Fatah, its corruption and lack of achievement, and the enthusiasm for Hamas, particularly among younger people.

In these circumstances appalling distortion of Palestinian society is inevitable. Those of us concerned for the Palestinians have been, rightly I think, concerned to correct the one dimensional view of Hamas portrayed in the Western media, and concerned to expose Western hypocrisy in seeking to penalise Palestinians for their democratic choice.
