RT: ... you know. So we've actually just - we're recording original material for the first time in many years, and it's so far it's gone like a dream.

MR: Is that, that's new songs?

RT: Absolutely new songs - Brian, myself and Paul.

MR: Right.

RT: And it's, so far it's, touch wood, it's gone so well.

MR: Does that constitute a new Queen record? Can you use the name? It's sort of difficult, isn't it, I mean ...

RT: Well it is, you know. I mean, Brian and I, you know - John's sort of opted out now....

MR: Yep.

RT: .... so Brian and I regard ourselves as Queen....

MR: Fair enough.

RT: We sort of, (chuckles) we work under the name on a, you know, day to day.

MR: You still have it on the bass drum, so you must be Queen.

RT: Absolutely. It's all over the drums so it must be right, yeah. (laughing)

MR: But can it - will it come out as a Queen record then?

RT: Yeah, absolutely. That's what it is really, you know.

MR: Yeah.

RT: I think that's as it should be.

Beh... magari Brian ha detto che hanno tanto materiale per riempire due dischi.
Ma spero che alla fine facciano una accurata selezione e riducano il tutto ad un solo cd.

fonti molto attendibili.....affermano che sarà si un doppio album,ma con un disco di inediti e un disco con vari successi reinterpretati o brani già scritti...mai pubblicati,ora nn si sa se cantati da Freddie o Paul....

Rock legends record first new album since 1995

Queen have discussed the progress of their new album.

As previously reported, band members Brian May and Roger Taylor have joined forced with former Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers, who joined them on tour in 2005, to make a new record.

Speaking about the record, May said: "We went in the studio... to see what happens, because we've already tested it pretty good on stage and that works great... And we went in almost unprepared...and came up with some tracks, which I think are really great.

"They're very different, they're very unlike anything that we've done, or anything that Paul's (Rodgers) done."

May told The Rock Radio that the new material will bolster their set when the band tour again.

He said: "It's gonna be good, because next time we go out (on tour), we won't just be nostalgia, we will be: 'This is what we are.'"

The band last released an album in 1995. 'Made In Heaven' was created using vocals Freddie Mercury left behind prior to his death in 1991.

Di buono c'è che dicono che il tour e il disco usciranno a Maggio !! Certo non è una notizia ufficiale, ma almeno si comincia ad ipotizzare una data!!
