forgive my stupidity but who is Martin? :D I get it he's a singer on some kind of show

I wonder what he sounds like. Jil, is there a youtube clip of him singing a song? I still remember that guitar guy. Wow he was good!

Jil, do they have a special cake over there that one makes/eats on one's birthday?

Oh,I actually saw some parts of a previous edition of DSDS .Oh yeah,this guy can sing,that's for sure. I'm convinced the best one will win 'cause I imagine the black fella' is good too .

well,if that guy has such a bad situation maybe he should win(of course if he does have a good singing voice).
we have some talent shows too and I know people tend to vote not only based on talent .Personally I never voted for anyone on any show.

think about it,that'd be fun .Instead of sitting on the chair u go to the window,open it,sit on it ,smile,and say u're now ready for the interview. I'm so going to use that when I'll have to get a job

No wonder I haven't gotten hired...I didn't give them an ultimatum!!!

But seriously, the Martin guy is pretty good and should win. If the other guy is trying to use his "bad" situation as a reason to win, then he shouldn't win. But if he does win, there is no guarantee that he'll be successful. If he's not much of a singer, then people won't go out to buy his cds.

here in Romania we have hot weather now(today we had 26-27 C in Bucharest) but 2 days ago we had some colder weather for 2 days.Anyway,since the beginning of the year we mostly had warm weather,warmer than usual for the different periods of the year and now they just said we might have the hottest summers ever.I'm not happy with this !

We've had some lovely warm and sunny Spring days in the UK and we're told that April was the warmest ever - but it is getting cooler now. Some of my family met up in nearby Reading today to attend the Beer Festival, and during the afternoon the sun came out and I was lying on the grass feeling pleasantly zonked. However, word is that we are in for some cooler weather.

Jil, I'm really sorry about the idiocy surrounding Deutschlands Pop Idol - Ellen is right that in the end it will depend on how he sells. We've had some good winners who haven't managed to make a career out of music. Who knows? Over here, the tendency for skewing the results comes from regional loyalties - if a contestant is from a region, that region will likely vote for them.

Jil, as long as there are people out there like you who are able to see right through people like him, there's always a chance that he won't win.

The weather here is hot, but the air is cool. We had some clouds today, so I'm sorta worried about washing my car.

I saw Spider-Man 3 yesterday and I was totally dissapointed!!! The story was all over the place and they killed off my fave character!!

I really found his character annoying in this film, he um dances in it! Plus he acts like a total jerk. : I liked him in the first two though. No I haven't seen Seabiscuit, is it good?

My fave character that they killed off was Harry Osborn


His life was just so miserable through out the three films, poor guy had it tough.

hey,it looks like Nicolas Sarkozy won the elections in France .Personally I was hoping for Royal to win but I don't know much about either of them .Anyway,I'm sure he'll be ok as President.


I think I saw Seabiscuit some years back. It's with Jeff Bridges too right?
