Professional League of Legends player Wei "CaoMei" Han-Dong retired from the popular multiplayer battle arena game to begin a career streaming online matches for over $800,000 every year, according to Portrait Magazine (in an article translated by OnGamers).

China-based Han-Dong, best known within the gaming community as one of the members behind tournament-winning team World Elite, announced his retirement in August. The professional gamer previously saw a monthly income of roughly $654 prior to winning 2012's IPL 5 tournament which would later increase his salary to $1,227 each month.

However, according to CaoMei, he maintained only about four hours of sleep per day at the peak of his training.

Comparatively, streaming is a more relaxed career path, the article reads. The 22-year-old now sustains his career as a professional streamer, playing online matches through ZhanQi TV and receiving an annual salary of $817,863 from the channel. According to his contract with ZhanQi, CaoMei is required to stream a full 90 hours of the game each month.

CaoMei states he is also taking advantage of his good looks which he says have helped to gain him 100,000 views per match.

"When talking about the reason why the community favors him, CaoMei said confidently, 'It may not be good to say this, but maybe some of the progamers don't have my looks,' the article reads. "He often gets 'I want to have a baby with you' from female fans."
