Yes, Indy definetly was the trendy pick of a Wild-Card Round team to make it too the SuperBowl...I certainly knew it was going to be a close game, but I figured Indy would get by barely.

Yeah, San Diego was driving down the field and one of the Colts LB's stuffed Sproles after a run, but for some stupid reason tugged his facemask while tugging him down to give SD 15 extra yards, and two plays later Sproles scampers for like 20 yards for the game winning TD.

Ouch I would hate to be the one to cost them the game.

It was very bad, after the game all te cameras were getting these reactions from all the stars...and they went to the guy, I believe it was No. 55, and he was PISSED and just told the cameraman to get that shit out of his face...he was clearly upset, but of course that's natural.

Do the Dolphins actually stand a chance tomorrow? Last time they played the Ravens, they were raped.

I'm hoping they do win, because I do not feel like sitting through another Steelers/Ravens nail-biter.

00domenica 4 gennaio 2009 00:41
I'd much rather see a hard-hitting defensive masterpiece than a Miami/Pittsburgh game that can go either really close, or a land-slide for the Steelers. I honestly see the Chargers making the AFC Title Game, that is if they head to Tenn. instead of going to Pittsburgh.

As for the NFC, god I hope the Eagles or Giants don't make it...I hate Eli & McNabb SOOOOO much, it's ridiculous. Really I just want to see either Baltimore, San Diego or Minnesota win.

I dont know anything about the ravens. But the dolphins im guessing have more confidence since they beat the jets and have been on somewhat of a roll.

00domenica 4 gennaio 2009 01:48
The Jets were on a downward spiral, that is definetly not a huge confidence booster...but the Ravens have a beast of a defense, and seem to always have one. The Dolphins, I just can't take seriously for some odd reason. When I look at them...I still see the 1-15 team from last year, with only a few additions that shouldn't have made them this good.

The receiving core for the Dolphins is mediocre, at best. The only receiver that I know is Javid Bess (I think that's his name, ex-Hawaii receiver when Colt Brennen was there), but that's what Pennington is working with. It's insane to think the Dolphins can make any type of run with a bunch of no-name talent, and a QB with a water-pistol for an arm.

I think farve would of been better off if he stayed retired. And im sure he lost a lot of fans especially after all the bad stuff weve been hearing about him from jet players.

I still dont see how miami got in. I still think the pats should of gotten the nod to go in since they were afc champs and won the division for goodness sakes. How did miami get in did they flip a coin or something.
Vickfan04
00domenica 4 gennaio 2009 03:14
Miami won the division, not New England. They ended up with similar records, but because Miami beat New England, they own the tiebreaker.

As for the Jets players, their comments make them out to be worse than Favre, in my opinion. Thomas Jones questioning the decision-making and interceptions thrown by Favre, funny that he kept his mouth shut when they were 9-3 and Favre still was making mistakes. Funny how it always gets blamed on the QB, yet they always say "It's A Team Effort". It's only a team effort when they win, when they're losing...everyone wants to play the blame game.

Now, I am not saying that what Jones said wasn't correct, just the fact that he wants to point the finger at Favre, and Favre alone...is completely ridiculous. Also, the fact that some Jets players want to remain 'anonymous' while talking shit...just shows how it's a team problem, and not just Favre.

Everyone seems to comment how Favre stayed away, and was distant, never wanting to go out with his teammates. He's 40 god damn years old, he's not gonna be the type of guy to hang out with 20 year olds, it's a generation gap...and that's common knowledge. You rarely ever go ask a 40 yr. old you know, to hang out with you...because you know they did not grow up on the things you like.

Brett Favre deserves more credit than he has been given by his teammates, and it's a damn shame that they want to all seem to blame him for their meltdown, it was not solely his fault. They were a 4-12 team and one year later they were right on the verge of getting into the playoffs, and at one point were looking like favorites out of the AFC.

You think Thomas Jones had such a great season because of JUST his talent? Absolutely not. The fact that defenses had to respect the deep ball now that Favre was there, instead of Pennington, allowed for fewer men in the box...and allowed Jones easier running lanes. So to hear him whine about how Favre cost them their season, when he helped Jones get one of his best statistical seasons possibly ever...yeah, fuck off with your damn comments.

oh thats how they got in makes sense I guess.

Still farve should of been benched. But hey you cant blame the coach I think any coach would of let farve played. I guess people forgot that he made them a better team this year. Funny when you win people love you but if you loose people blame everything on you and hate you.

Miami did beat New England, but the Pats also beat the Dolphins. I think Miami won the division based off superior divisional record.

Miami lost to the Jets, Arizona, Houston, Baltimore and New England
Pats lost to Miami, San Diego, Indy, the Jets, and Pittsburgh

Thought Miami won because all the Pat losses were to AFC teams.

Baltimore looked very sharpe, granted it was against the Dolphins, which makes for a VERY intriguing matchup next week in Pittsburgh. Hopefully Minnesota wins, so one of the teams that I cannot stand gets eliminated.

But Baltimore is playing Tennessee next week.

Oh...that's right, dunno why I just missed that. Call it looking ahead to an AFC Championship Collision, possibly. Although Pittsburgh is gonna have a tough road having to go against San Diego. Nobody can say that the AFC Champion didn't deserve their spot, whomever makes it through.

WWE's attempt to be a little more risky with their storylines? Trying to thik outside the box? No pun intended. Or just some strange attempt to put Khali over as a face, which still baffles me.

You know he used his backstage power in WCW to keep Flair from going for more then 16 reigns too.

This could lead to a tell-all best selling book, and a documentary showing how HHH uses his powers to make sure he goes down as the greatest ever.

HEY! We could have HHH play the role, he'd be PERFECT.
