Dear Friends,
I just re-checked yesterday's messages. First of all - our dear Christian friends who are not Catholics: sweet of you to offer to swear for us, but we Catholics are pretty hot at swearing - at least I am!!!!! I just didn't want to upset my liebling Papa. It's always been my experience that Protestants wouldn't swear to save their lives, whereas we Catholics do let rip sometimes.
Seriously, is all back to normal again?
The frog image is the logo of Image Shack and we got the message that hotlinking to this site had been stopped - or something like that. It was in all the places where our photos had been, including my three signature photos. I've now removed them in my profilo, but will put them back when I get the green light.
Let's hope it was just a blip and not something really nasty!

Dear MaryJos- I hope you put back your signature photos SUBITO. Obviously, whatever happened the other day was a temporary glitch. How can hotlinking from a hosting site be suspended permanently? - then it wouldn't be a hosting site anymore! Everyone else who use signature-photos has kept theirs....

Must be the season cause I've had an aweful cold too... but each day I'm feeling more human. Which is a very good thing cause I've got things to do

I still haven't received my "book" copy of the encyclical from CTS so am going to print it out tonight.

Thanks Teresa - I got my photos back in my signature!!!!
If anyone else had problems with this, when you go to Image Shack they may say you aren't registered......don't panic! [I did!]. I joined again and they said my e-mail address was already taken- panic again! But.....in came an e-mail from them.
So, perhaps it was just at technical blip. If so, at least we had fun telling it how it is to any enemies out there. They now know that I shall be grabbing one of those halberds [is that what they are called? Pike things, anyway] from a Swiss guard and what I shall do with it is nobody's business. The Inquisition would pale into insignificance..........

Sylvie's montage captures the special atmosphere of yesterday's Feast of the Presentation, also known as Candlemas, and highlights the presence of the religious, as yesterday was also the Day of the Consecrated Life.

Sylvie posted this video-cap series which shows Papa brushing back a lock that has fallen over his forehead during Candlemas Thursday. Her caption -

These sisters have adopted St. Catherine of Siena's famous description of the Pope as "Dolce Cristo in terra" to greet Benedict, asking him to guide them upwards. (Photo from the Vatican website)

These pictures cannot have been from Candlemas, as the Pope is wearing a different miter and cope from what he did wear Thursday - but the pictures are literally wonderful! (Variants of the pix also appear in Sylvie's montage of Candlemas, but I suspect the news agency re-ran some photos from a previous occasion so they could show the Pope holding a candle himself.)

Was Papa nodding off during Candlemas in that photo with his eyes shut? Poor thing, he did look tired during the ceremony. He is definitely working too hard.
