Thank you for the lovely photos. Grazie.
The picture with Francesco Cossiga....are the standing there arm in arm?
If the Cardinal had known at that time that a year later he would be in Cologne, surely wearing better clothes than that grey suit. |

These could be re-posts but I think they are more likely additional poses from pictures series we have seen before.
Regardless, who can resist this man? From Ratzigirl's gleanings on e-bay today-

And Beatrice gives us this wonderful picture from the Regina Caeli
today (in IMAGES of the French section). She even adds a soundtrack
where we hear Papa chuckling and saying GRAZIE...delightful as ever!

OH! I was just so taken by the expression on his face I didn't even notice the hair until you pointed it out!
But I have no clue when the photo was taken so it may not be recent...I am still waiting to see anything
from the General Audience today as I didn't see the telecast...
Anyway, cropped hair too in this enlargement by Nessuna but it makes my morning...

Thanks for the pics, everybody. Papa's throat might have sounded bad but his face sure looks good--as always.

CAN YOU IMAGINE ANYTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL? Our Beatrice poses this rhetorical question - to which we can only answer NO!!!!! -
in the French section with the picture below which is what resulted when she
zoomed in on one of the photos she took during the audience of 4/26/06 when the
Popemobile passed near her (second photo below). She had posted this second photo
with her account of that audience. Those eyes!!!!
MERCI, BEA, pour ce cadeau merveilleux!
THIS IS A GREAT ICON OF OUR AGELESS PAPA!

A VERY GOOD MORNING INDEED! Nessuna's enlargements of photos from the 5/17/06 audience (and Sylvie's montage posted in PICTURES AND VIDEOS)
show how well Papa looked yesterday despite the laryngitis!

The Photogallery man at the general audience last Wednesday snapped yet another remarkable magical series of breathtaking Papal portraits
These pictures are outstanding, some of the best I've ever seen. Well, it's not a difficult job for a photographer to take a good photo of such a beautiful man..... |

ADD THIS TO YOUR 4/19/05 HISTORIC CATALOG Ratzigirl found this photo and it's quite unlike the other 4/19/05 photos, I think - unique expression on Papa's face.
