Luca Cadalora has been racing in GPs for 12 years. In 1986 he was World Champion in the 125 class on a Garelli. Moving up to the 250s, he first rode Yamahas during the late '80s, but it took a move to Honda and Erv Kanemoto to enable him to take the 250 title in 1991 and '92. Then a move to the ultimate class with the ultimate team; Team Marlboro Roberts in the 500cc class. Three years of energizing highs were mixed with three years of frustrating lows and Cadalora decided that for 1996 he would return to the combination that had brought him triumph in the past, Erv Kanemoto and NSR Hondas. It has been a roller-coaster season, lack of sponsorship forcing Cadalora to dig deep - very deep - into his own pockets to finance the team. A win first time out in Malaysia had Cadalora and Kanemoto in tears at the end of the race, but it has been tough since then. At the German GP on July 7 it all came together again and Cadalora claimed another win. Then, a few days later at Donnington the old troubles returned.... What's going on in the Kanemoto Honda team?
