The Italian city of Rome is full of incredibly glamorous people who showcase their sense of style as they stroll around the cobbled street.

But, despite this, even the locals couldn't resist sneaking a peek at former Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon, who cut an incredibly trendy figure as he took his wife Yasmin and daughter Amber shopping.

The 52-year-old singer looked dapper in a navy blue suit and black and white brogues, while his 46-year-old wife Yasmin wore an all-black outfit for her day of retail therapy.

Model Amber, 21, completed the chic family unit in a black cape over a minidress and khaki and black boots.

And while there are 25 years difference between Yasmin and Amber, the pair looked more like sisters than mother and daughter as they took in the shopping sights in Wolford and Fendi.

The trio were in the Italian city as it was announced Amber, who has been taking the modelling world by storm, will be the new face behind the UK launch of American clothing store Forever 21.

The fashion chain will launch in November with shops in both Dublin's Jervis Centre and the Birmingham Bullring, with a London shop expected to launch earlier this year.

The stores, which stock quirky and fresh clothes favoured by millions of young women throughout America, is sure to become a hit in the UK.

However, despite fronting the launch and causing a storm with her incredible modelling potential, Amber admitted recently she doesn't see herself forging a long-term career in the modelling industry.

She said: 'I know modelling is not a lifelong career, and because I so love taking pictures of people, I think my future is going to be as a photographer.

'While modelling I am learning a lot about the work on the other side of the camera. I am constantly getting practical experience, although I haven't studied it technically.'

Missing from the family trip was Amber's younger sisters Saffron, 19, and Tallulah, 16.
