    Anna, ti ricordi la (fittizia o meno) rivalità fra Blur e Oasis negli anni 90? Ho sempre preferito i primi, infatti anche Coffe & TV e Tender sono canzoni che adoro, ma non potevo metterne così tante nella lista [SM=g27824]


    "Wish you were here" viene considerata da alcuni la più bella canzone della storia della musica...per me è molto carina,ma è sopravvalutata. i Pink Floyd restano dei miti cmq [SM=g27811]

    Art of Life - X JAPAN

    E' una canzone epica, magistrale sofisticata e toccante. Mescola musica classica con sonorità metal. E' straziante e disperata all'inizio e con una flebile luce di speranza alla fine. E' distruzione-follia-creazione in sequenza.
    L'assolo al pianoforte di 11 minuti è una delle composizioni più controversie e geniali della storia del rock: la melodia iniziale lentamente si rompe, si distorce in note apparentemente casuali e degeneranti. Un ignorante può confondere ciò con rumore, in realtà è tutto perfettamente studiato ed in linea con il pezzo. E' una lotta.
    Si raccomanda di ascoltare i 29 minuti di Art of Life solo se si ha il tempo e la volontà di immergersi nella sua storia e teatralità.
    Tanto di cappello a Yoshiki (batterista, pianista e compositore) che ha composto un pezzo di tale caratura, un capolavoro.

    grazie a chi ha fatto nuovi interventi su questo topic.
    anch'io lo dovrò aggiornare perchè ho dimenticato alcuni pezzi e sarebbe imperdonabile da parte mia [SM=g27827] , comunque vorrei ribadire che ho tralasciato di proposito composizioni nostrane ed in lingua non inglese, come anche la musica strumentale e la classica, sennò avrei dovuto citare opere di Lucio Battisti, Edith Piaf, Carlos Gardel, Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, Mozart, Smetana, Carl orff....e chi più ne ha più ne metta [SM=g27817] .

    magari si potrebbe aprire un topic apposito su queste altri mondi musicali.
    in questo vorrei limitarmi alla musica anglofona, per questioni, se non altro, di spazio ed ordine.
