it is quite difficult to do that in a section where English is obligatory, but I'll try...
the names are: "In Sù" because it is the part of the town which corresponds to the centre. the flag is dark red with the name written in blue and the blue ensign which represents a hot-air balloon (hot-air balloons go "up")
"in Giò" because it is the part which descends towards the valley of river Olona. it has a green flag, with the red name written on it. Its ensign is a red fork-lightning (lightnings go "down")
"da parti" ((the best)): because it is neither "in su" nor "in gio": it is the part of the town "aside" and in the past it was all countryside. the flag is yellow with the name written in blue and the blue ensign which represent a wooden wheel (the wheels are "aside")
"nisciuina" which is the dialectal form of "nizzolina", the hamlet of Marnate (I mean "frazione"... is "hamlet" correct?!?)
it has a light blue flag, with name and ensign in white. the ensign is a star.. honestly I don't know why a star, I guess it was already the symbol of the hamlet itself and they decided to use it to represent the "rione" too..
that's it... but now I guess we went O.T, so I wuold stop here the chatting about my town -even if it's been a pleasure!-
