PEOPLE NEEDING PRAYERS

Thank you for the beautiful prayer, Papa Bear!

Please pray for England, where we have been suffering from riots, arson and looting, spreading from London to several other cities. There is no reason for this that I can see, except a general breakdown of society.

Benefan: I'll hold your family in my prayers.


A plea from me: I can't get over my husband's death and the only support I have is from a friend who lives sixty miles away and one good friend in my home town. The parish is not good at supporting those of us who are widowed.

Of course I will keep your family in my prayers benefan!

I know your prayers will make a difference. This has been a very tough year and it seems like things will continue to be difficult for some time. It helps to know that others care. Bless you all.

To-morrow, w'll go to the funerals of our cousins's elder daughter who died on monday following a car crash the day before. She was 22. Our cousins are farmers near Lyon.

I am so sorry about the loss of your cousin's daughter. It is hard enough to lose a young person, especially so suddenly and unexpectedly, but right before Christmas makes it even harder. I will pray for the young woman, her family and yours. May the light that Christ brings into the world penetrate the darkness everyone must be feeling right now.

Please pray for our country. Many of us, not necesseraly catholics, will take part in a walking protest against same sex unions.

The french government wants to legalisze these unions.

To morrow at three p.m. all over the country beginning with Paris, Lyon and so on...

I hope and pray things go well for your country. Ours is facing similar battles. Religious values are being attacked on all fronts and are losing ground. Papa is so right in trying to push for more unity among Christians and even with non-Christian believers. Unless we all unite to protest inroads in what has been considered sacred for centuries, we will be living in a completely pagan world ruled by selfishness, expediency, and cruelty.
