    andate su: http://www.atlanteitaliano.it andate su "cartografia" cliccate accesso, accetta le condizioni, scarica quel programma che ti dice (non ci sono virus) apri il programma e rivai su cartografia e potrai vedere tutta l'italia dal satellite, ma quella vera, non le strade e le case e i fiumi, proprio una fotografia dall'alto che si avvicina fino a vedere le macchine.

    Bora Bora


    This four-meter resolution, color image of Bora Bora (meaning "First Born") was collected by Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite on Oct. 25, 2001. The image centers on Bora Bora's main island, referred to as "The Marvelous Island," located 240 kilometers northwest of Tahiti. More than seven million years old, the island is protected by a coral reef with only one navigable inlet seen on the west side of the image. Other features include Matira beach and it's world-famous lagoon, the principal village of Vaitape, across from the inlet, and a 32-kilometer road circling the island.

    Saturday, December 15, 2001 marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite collected this one-meter color image of Mecca January 1, 2000. The image features the Ka'ba at Mecca. The image has been rotated for ease of viewing.

    Pearl Harbor, Hawaii


    This four-meter resolution, color image of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was collected by Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite on Dec. 24, 1999. This is the first commercial high-resolution satellite image taken of Pearl Harbor Naval Base off the island of Oahu. A key feature in the image is the USS Arizona Memorial, which straddles the sunken hull of the battleship. The Memorial was dedicated in 1962 and became a National Park Service area in 1980. This image has been released by Space Imaging to commemorate this year’s 60th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

    Venice, Italy


    This one-meter resolution image of Venice, Italy was taken by Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite on Nov. 27, 2000. Venice has more than 400 bridges that span 114 canals. Points of interest in the image are the Railway Station, the Grand Canal and St. Mark’s Square. Across the canal from St. Mark’s Square is San Giorgio Maggiore, a church and monastery founded in the 10th century.

    Daytona International Speedway


    Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite took this image of the Daytona International Speedway September 15, 2000.

    The Daytona 500 will be run February 16 on the 2.5 mile tri-oval track. With banks set at 31 degrees, race cars average about 170 mph.

    Mt. Etna Eruption


    This four-meter resolution satellite image of the top of Mount Etna, Sicily was collected by Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite on July 31, 2001. The image shows the prominent white smoke plume rising from the volcano. Etna has been spewing molten lava, ash and rock from fractures on its southern slope for the last two weeks, forcing a state of emergency in the surrounding area. Imagery such as this can be used in disaster assessment, damage assessment, emergency management, and insurance and risk management.

    Today marks the 67th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion at Normandy. President George W. Bush announced plans last week for the construction of a new memorial on the Washington Mall celebrating World War II veterans. Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite took this 1-meter resolution color image of The Mall January 1, 2000. The image features the Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Vietnam memorials.

    Montego Bay - Jamaica


    This one-meter resolution satellite image is the first ever taken of Montego Bay, Jamaica and was collected by Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite on Feb. 10, 2001. The image highlights the lush resort area located just south of Jamaica's Sir Donald Sangster International Airport. Features seen in the full image include Gloucester Avenue and The Queen's Drive running parallel to the coast, several resorts, the post office, police station and three white-sand beach coves near the Old Fort and Crafts Market.
