Note: In December 1942 La Spezia was reinforced by the addition of a battalion fo the San Marco Marines (3 companies) and eight batteries of various calibers, including elements of the 331st Artillery Battalion equipped with 77mm/28 guns. It was to be equipped with 47mm AT guns for the attack on Malta, but was sent to North Africa during the El Alamein campaign with their older 65mm guns before this happened.
