soon and that the sun shines it's warmth on your home.



I'm in the studio recording an album of songs written by California
songwriters:
Merle Haggard, Tom Waits, Jackson Browne, Kate Wolf, Jim Ringer, John
Fogerty,
Brian Wilson, Richard Berry, John Stewart, Blackie Farrell,David and Louie
from Lobos,
and Tom Russell and me (Between The Cracks).
The CD will be called WEST OF THE WEST and Greg Leisz is producing. I decribe
it as a
blues/folk/doo-wop/country/surf tribute to my home state.
All the Guilty Men are playing on 5 songs and the rest of the tracks feature

the rhythm section from the AshGrove CD , Bob Glaub and Don Heffington. Guest
include Christy McWilson, The Calvanes (you know them from Big Sandy's solo cd
and the Blasters Live dvd), and, of course, Chris Gaffney.

I hope to hear from you soon and give Oli and Lisa kisses from me. Your friend, Dave
