Durante l'house show di RAW proposto a Johnston City, TN, John Cena ha affrontato e sconfitto Umaga. Dopo la sfida e l'ingresso di Great Khali, Cena è stato protagonista di un promo in cui ha lasciato intendere che a Judgment Day affronterà proprio il gigante indiano.
Inoltre su Wikipedia nella sezione dedicata a WWE Judgment Day, compaiono i seguenti match:

La WWE ha annunciato che "I Don't Wanna Stop" di Ozzy Osbourne sarà la theme ufficiale del suo prossimo ppv Judgment Day del 20 Maggio.

Seppur non ancora ufficialmente annunciato a Judgment Day si dovrebbe avere Melina vs. Candice Michelle valido per il Women's Title.

Nella card pubblicizzata per l'house show SmackDown/ECW del 18 Giugno compare il match "Marcus Cor Von vs. Lashley" per il titolo del mondo ECW. Anche se nulla è confermato al 100% è possibile che Lashley uscirà questa notte dal ppv "Judgment Day" con la cintura del brand estremo intorno alla vita.

Prima del ppv WWE Judgment Day è andato in scena il classico dark match. Kane ha affrontato e sconfitto William Regal (accompagnato da Dave Taylor) con una chokeslam.

Il motivo per cui a Judgment Day il match tra Elijah Burke e CM Punk è durato più del dovuto è per via di alcuni errori di tempo: sia Chris Benoit vs. MVP che Batista vs. Edge infatti sono durati meno di quanto preventivato.

I piani originali del booking team per Batista vs. Edge erano di far vincere The Animal per conteggio fuori. Ovviamente le cose sono poi cambiate, visto che la Rated R Superstar ha vinto pulito schienando Batista con un roll-up.
