Johnson - Galloway ???
Cowboys: Team talking to Bucs about a Galloway-for-Johnson deal
Rather than release him prior to April 1, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would love to get something in return for wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson. Rather than release a player who cost them two first-round draft picks, the Cowboys would love to get something in return for wide receiver Joey Galloway. In a fateful turn of events, the two franchises have crossed paths and are now talking about swapping their overpaid receivers. Trades can't be officially completed until March 3, but deals can be agreed to before that time. Bucs' general manager Bruce Allen confirmed with the St. Petersburg Times that Johnson's agent has been cleared to talk to the Cowboys about a trade. "What I will say is [Galloway] is on our team and under contract," Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Do we have a love connection? We're not surprised that the Cowboys are talking about getting Keyshawn, as Bill Parcells and he expressed their deep admiration for each other during the regular season. Galloway and Parcells didn't have that same spark, and the Cowboys could use a big, tough receiver to go over the middle.
