New concept.

Bret Hart: "Well, I guess hell froze over. I know there's a lot of people out there that are wondering why I'm here tonight. And why now. But you know, I've had a long time to think about things. It's been twelve years since I've been back in the WWE. And it's an amazing feeling. You know, for the last few years I tried so many times to find a way to come back. But every time I tried to come back Vince McMahon would always decline and tell me that it wasn't possible. I just wanna say that I'm grateful for this moment right now. To be here and to be able to talk to the WWE Universe. You know, the most important thing I gotta say right now— ['Welcome back!'] It's nice to be back. You know, I just wanna say—This is a chance to say to all my fans all around the world—Thank you so much! For never letting me be forgotten. I owe everything that I am today, and I've been in my whole life, to the WWE Universe. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for carrying me in your hearts for all these years. Never to be forgotten.

As I stand here right now, I feel myself flooded with millions of memories. Great memories. In fact, I can remember being right here at the Nutter Center and winning the very first King Of The Ring. One of my proudest moments and one of my proudest nights. As a matter of fact, I think I remember at the end of it that Jerry Lawler jumped me. And well—Hey, King, nice to see ya. Some things never change. Anyway. There's another reason why I'm here tonight. And I'm gonna get right to the point. I got twelve years of things that I want to get off my chest. And the very first thing that I wanna do is I wanna call, back there, Shawn Michaels to come out here! See me face to face.

Shawn Michaels. I just call you Shawn. I think I'd like to take this opportunity right now to bury the hatchet with you. And call for a truce."

Shawn Michaels: "First of all, Hitman, before you come out here and get your closure, there's something I've been waiting twelve years to say to you. The fact is you deserved what happened twelve years ago in Montreal. You disrespected me and you disrespected this business. And yes, I did have a hand in what Vince McMahon did that night."

['You screwed Bret'-Chants]

Hart: "I rest my case."

Michaels: "And there's a part of me, there's a big part of me that doesn't regret a bit of it. But there's another part of me. There's another part of me that knows that in the last twelve years a lot of things have changed. A lot of things in my life have changed. You know, Bret, I always respected you. It's just never felt you respected me. And there were times I couldn't stand the sight of you. And I know, I know the feeling is more than mutual. But you know something?

When I think of Bret Hart, I don't think of Montreal. I think of Anaheim, California. I think of a 60 Minute Iron Man Match. A 60 Minute Iron Man Match that everybody said nobody wanna see. And they certainly wouldn't want to see it on Pay Per View. They said nobody could do it. Yet Bret 'The Hitman' Hart and 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels went out there and they did do it. And they redefined everything that this industry ever stood for. When I think of Bret Hart, I think of the Excellence of Execution.

You're not the only one, Bret, that's been carrying this around for twelve years. You're not the only one that's ready to move on. You're not the only one that wants to bury the hatchet. I guess all I have to say is: Are you sure? And are you ready?"

Hart: "Well, let's be real honest. You weren't the easiest guy in the world to love either back then. And you were a guy that certainly had his issues. But you're right. My career and your career shouldn't always be tagged by what happened at Survivor Series. I had a great career. You had great career. We both accomplished so many things. I think it's a good time as any right here and now for you and me to take this opportunity in front of all these fans right here in Dayton, and all around the world, to look each other in the eye and take this moment and say that we can be friends. So I offer my hand to you in friendship. Right here, in front of everybody. Right from the heart, right from the bottom of my heart I call for a truce, I call for you to shake my hand. If you wanna bury the hatchet, let's bury it right now.

There's one more thing though. There's one more thing I wanna ask. And I want one more person to come down. Vince McMahon! I know you're back there. I want you to come down here and see me face to face, too. Come on, Vinnie. Don't keep the people waiting."

Jeff Jarrett: "Let me just say this, from the very, very top: It feels great to be back home in the Impact Zone! Y'know, seven years ago—seven years ago I founded TNA. After about fifteen-plus years or so of hard work, busting my butt in and out of the ring, I decided to take my hard-earned money and found an organization called TNA. ['Thank you, Jeff!'-Chants] Every critic in the world said we wouldn't last six weeks. Said we wouldn't last six months. But guess what? Guess what? I'm standing in the middle of the six-sided ring on Monday night, the greatest night in company history, and I am damn proud to be here!

And Hulk, you know it, and I know it. I tried to convince you for YEARS to be a part of TNA, and the timing just wasn't right. But tonight, on a Monday night, the timing is right! [TNA-Chants] And what I'm about—what I'm about to say is all about TNA. In my career I've done some good things and some not good things. But by far the most rewarding thing I've ever done is give young guys - dozens if not hundreds - is give young guys the opportunity, the chance to step in the ring. Guys lik—Guys like Beer Money, who I consider the greatest tag team in the business today. The Motor City Machine Guns, Daniels, Samoa Joe. And last but not least, the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles! [AJ-Chants]

But in closing, I just want to wrap this up: guys, and everybody at home - you ain't seen nothin' yet! No, sir! Because with Hulk Hogan partnering with Dixie Carter and myself, the founder, working side-by-side, anything CAN and WILL happen in T-N-A!"

Hulk Hogan: "Y'know something Jeff, I'm glad you're finished, because that's enough of the ga-ga! And guess what, brother: So what, nobody cares! If I hear 'I', 'I' one more time I would have brought the security out and had you escorted of the building. Because the truth is, brother: Yes, you did start this company, but in a short amount of time you ran this company into the ground! So now that the truth be told, if it wasn't for Dixie Carter resurrecting TNA, and if it wasn't for Dixie Carter giving these young guys a shot, brother, this company would be under! [ 'Bullshit!'-Chants] Way things go, brother, you need to straighten your act up. As far as I'm concerned, this minority stockholder doesn't mean anything. Check your stock paper in your safe deposit box, brother, we restructured this company, and I now am Dixie Carter's new partner! And as far as I'm concerned: All these young guys, they're gonna get the real shot now, brother. All the young guys, they're gonna get the real push, brother. And as for your past accolades, brother: As I said, nobody cares. But for one thing you do have right is with Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter, TNA is going all the way, brother, to the top. So you, just like everybody else, Jeff: No voting power, you've got no stroke. And by the way, brother: You need to grab your boots and get in line with the rest of the crew. You gotta prove yourself. Because to me and Dixie Carter, you're no different than everybody else! Lace 'em up and be ready, brother: I hope you can hang with the young guys!"

Hulk Hogan: "What's up, TNA-Maniacs? You guys, TNA and the maniacs, we are making history tonight, right here, in TNA's ring. You know something, guys. I been in the back all day long. There is so much talent in the back, so many young guys, that are running so hard. And yes, guys. There's a lot of old faces in the back that are ready to gear up. TNA is gonna be the number one company in the world. As I spent all day long dealing with the talent in the back, as I spent all day long hearing everybody's ideas—When I walked out here, brothers—This is the dream that I've been praying for! To feel the power of TNA, to feel the energy out here. There are so many new TNA faces out here and there's a lot of familiar faces out here.

All I gotta say is with TNA and the power of the maniacs this company will not be stopped— Hey! Security. Security. Hold on. Back off! Those guys got something to say, somebody give 'em a mike—Bring 'em in the ring!"

Scott Hall: "Hey yo."

Hogan: "Guys, you know I'm all about the party. But you know something? If you got something to say, say it right now."

Hall: "Say hello to the bad guy. Now, when me and Pac heard that Easy E was here, that Hulk Hogan was gonna be here and 'Big' Kevin Nash has been here—That means one thing to us: big paychecks, big sold-out arenas and big parties."

Hogan: "Let me tell you something, Scott. This is a different time and this is a different place. It doesn't work that way anymore, brother."

Sean Waltman: "Ey, you see, that's where you're wrong. It is the same place, it's the same people and where here TO PAR-TY!"

Hogan: "Guys, not this time. It's gonna be totally different this time."

Hall: "Let me get this right, Hulkster. You're the biggest name in our industry, the highest paid guy ever. And now you're telling me you wanna change the business? You wanna change the way things are happening? Well, in case you haven't heard, things are changing at TNA—"

Hogan: "No. You wait a minute. It's time, it's time that we all grow up. And we do the right thing for this business, brother. The right thing for the business!" ['Hogan! Hogan!']

Hall: "You're right. He deserves everyone of your chants. I grew up watching you wrestle, brother. You paved the way. You're the one who made millions of dollars. And you telling me things have changed? You're right. Things changed. And brother, they're gonna change with ya or without ya."

Kevin Nash: "Scott, Kid, really, listen. Hulk's got a role to play tonight, right? Let him play it."

Hogan: "No, Kevin. This isn't a role, brother. When I became partners with Dixie, I gave her my word. We were gonna do the right thing. We were gonna make a change and change this company for the better. It's not the way it was."

Nash: "Well, you know I've been talking to you for five, six weeks on the phone now. And that's not exactly the conversation we've been having. I'm just curious, I'm just curious—When the hell did you turn so corporate?"

Hogan: "You know something, Big Kev? It's not about turning corporate. You guys are my brothers for life. But you guys need to do this for real. It's a different time."

Eric Bischoff: "Hey, it's been a while, hasn't it? Brings back memories, doesn't it? I mean, look around you, in this ring right now are the guys that reinvented this business. We took on the 800 pound gorilla and we put him in a little monkey cage and we spanked him. And in the process, in the process we changed this business forever. One thing, guys. Hopefully we're all just a little smarter. Now, I was the one who put this band together in the first place. Alright? Got a little experience here. But one thing I learned, and I've got the scar tissue to prove it, is that it's all about communication, guys. Alright? And I think there's been a serious, serious breakdown of communication. Alright?"

Waltman: "Well, then please, Eric, explain it to us!"

Bischoff: "I will. See, here's the deal. What Hulk's just trying to tell you is everybody—Everybody has got to earn their position in this company. Everybody."

Nash: "Easy E. Hear you loud and clear, talk to you later."

Hogan: "Like Eric said. At TNA everybody has to earn their spot here. I don't care about the past relationships, I don't care who thinks they're on a role. The game changes now. Everybody has to earn their spot in this company."

Bischoff: "And it's gonna change. The team of Hogan and Bischoff have done it before. And I'm damn well sure we can do it in TNA. Cause there's a whole lot of talent, great talent in the back. And there's a whole lot of heart in this company. And we're gonna take it to the very top. But I can assure you things are going to change. I don't care if you're the damn janitor, I don't care if you're the World Heavyweight Champion, I don't care if you're the cameraman. Everybody, everybody is gonna be under a microscope."

Hogan: "And the change starts tonight. From the moment we got here we started shuffling the deck. Things are gonna change until we conquer, become the number one sports-entertainment company in the world. And the change will keep on going until we're on top of the mountain."

Bischoff: "I love it. In fact, if we're gonna make some changes, why don't we start right now? Where's the producer, who's got a format for me? Somebody's got a format."

Hogan: "Where's the producer?"

Bischoff: "Where is he? Come on, I wanna see a format. Somebody give me a format. Alright, this is what we thought—I should say, you thought, you were gonna do tonight. We had a chance to look this over a little earlier. And hey, there's nothing wrong with this at all. I mean, you get an A for effort. But like the Hulkster says— We're starting over. That's what you've thought you're gonna do. Here little lady. [überreicht SoCal Val den neuen Ablaufplan] Pass it on to your director. Cause that is what we are going to do. And what we're going to do is turn this company upside down! Starting, I don't know, RIGHT NOW."

Hogan: "Well, you know something? For every TNA-Maniac in this building—If you can't talk and you can't wrestle—Pack your bags and head up north! Because right now, we're checking everybody out. And by the way—Whatcha gonna do when TNA and all these maniacs become number one in the world just for you?"

Vince McMahon: "First thing I'd like to say to each and every one of you here as well as all over the world is Happy New Year. And the second thing that I'd like to be able to say is there's really no reason to call Bret Hart out here tonight. After all I think that Bret and Shawn pretty much buried the hatchet. They put all this Montreal stuff behind us and brought closure to it. So therefore I feel the same way. The Montreal Incident is basically over. Nonetheless I'd like to thank Bret Hart. I'd like to thank him for being our Guest Host here tonight. And speaking of Guest Host. Next week our Guest Host is 'Iron' Mike Tyson! 'Iron' Mike Tyson, at one time considered, no question, the baddest man on the planet.

I think I know what you're thinking. I think I know what these people would like to see. They wanna see you apply the Sharpshooter. Bret, I'm asking you to be the better man tonight. And I really wanna hear what you have to say. I don't want to provoke you. That's not what I wanna do. But I would like, in the interest of being honest, as you were earlier, I would like to get a few things off my chest. And I believe that, I really do believe that you screwed you. I'll never forget, I'll never forget you spitting in my face, literally. I'll never forget you, in the locker room after the event was over, I never forget you sucker-punching me. I'll never forget you disrespecting me the night that you were inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

I mean, you've slandered me and trashed me in just about every publication there is, for so many years, Bret. And again, I'm not trying to provoke you, I just wanna be honest with you. And I do wanna hear what you have to say to me. I'm hoping, Bret, that you start with two words. I'm hoping that you simply say to me 'I'm sorry'. Again, I'm not trying to provoke you."

Bret Hart: "I could think of a lot of words to say to you, but the two words that you're thinking of are a lot different than the two words that I'm thinking of. I came here tonight to bury the hatchet and find closure to this whole thing that ever happened. And I feel that I'm half way there right now. And it feels as the greatest feeling in the world for me to get all that weight off my back after twelve years. And I feel like I'm half way there. I got what I wanted from Shawn. And you know it and I want it. That you and I want the same thing as bad. You know, we wanna get things right. This is your chance to make truce, make peace with me and find closure. And get this all over with. You know that you want this as bad as I do."

McMahon: "Again, I'll be honest. I tell you what I thought I wanted. What I thought I wanted was to come out here and to kick you in the guts. That's really what I thought, OK? I know, stupid. I get it. But in the interest of being honest, straight-forward and putting this behind us—You're right. I want it just as badly as you do.

I can remember your first WrestleMania, Bret. WrestleMania II. You're in the Battle Royal with Andre The Giant. And I'll never forget thinking that Andre is, great as an attraction as he we was, maybe the all-time greatest attraction—sooner or later his career was gonna come to the end and I'd be looking at the past. And I remember you, in that same battle royal, I knew, Bret, that you were the future. I knew it then. And following your career—I mean, you went from a tag team specialist to being the WWE Champion, Bret. Nobody handed it to you. I gave you opportunity. That's all I gave you. You've fought, clawed, scratched, kicked, bit your way all the way to the top.

And, Bret, it's not a catchphrase of some kind. You really did, you became the Excellence of Execution. You did. And one of the reasons, I know you will agree with this, one of the reasons that this whole Montreal thing was so personal between you and me, and you've said it yourself, that—I was like a father figure to you. And I felt that responsibility and that's one of the reasons why it hurt you so badly. A speaking of your, of a father, I'd like to bring up your dad. I want you to know, Stu Hart, I want to let you know that all his accomplishments and he's the reason why so many people 'broke into the business' and all of that—I'd like to personally nominate your dad, Stu Hart, into this year's WWE Hall Of Fame."

Hart: "I appreciate that. And I know that it would mean a lot to the Harts back home in Calgary and the fans all across Canada that you finally put my dad in the WWE Hall Of Fame. And I thank you for that."

McMahon: "Well, you—Bret, you're thanking me, quite frankly, I think that all of us here and certainly me, we'd like to thank you. I'd like to personally thank you for your, all your contributions to the WWE. I'd like to thank you for every thrilling moment that you gave the entire WWE Universe. I'd like to thank you, Bret. Thank you for you just being you out here tonight. The real Bret Hart. And lastly, I thought I'd never be saying this, but I'd like to thank you for being the best there is, I'd like to thank you for being the best there was and the best there ever will be."

A mio avviso promo a sorpresa...

Comunque what goes around, comes around, come diceva qualcuno:

Basta che però non si finisca col sortire l'effetto contrario: da una lotta alla sottovalutazione, ad un trionfo della sopravvalutazione...

@Maul Comix: oddio, dipende cosa intendi...

EDIT: avevo sbagliato a quotare..

Dipende.
