Secondo "Le Blog" in una settimana.... con sorpresa finale!

It’s hotting up in this town. Nick Hodgson’s visit on Monday started us off on a (as this is online) .orgy of creation. Unlike God however, we will be taking not just Sunday, but Saturday and possibly today off to recover from the hangover which follows the kind of party we’ve had this week; forget the weekends - they are for wimps; I’m talking about Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Thank Dog it’s Friday - “I’m wanting me to go to rehab.”

Mark R is a quiet man really. Surprising then that his presence has such great effect, but it does. Sometimes we are the typical band where the one who shouts loudest, or holds out the longest, wins; that approach just doesn’t work with Mark producing the record. I think that we, as a band, have all been very aware of his understated manner, and there is a sort of unspoken understanding between us that we have to curb any sort of bombast for this project to work properly. And it does - we worked up three new songs yesterday alone, and at this rate we’ll be probably be able to match Prince - double album for double album this year.

BTW, does anybody actually want, sorry: does anyone actually know what to do - with a double album these days?

For the record, I want to say that I loved working with Timbaland, Justin & Nate Hills. And what’s more, for me there was nothing disastrous about Red Carpet Massacre - I still fucken lov it.

And, possibly the best news today: We are free of SONY music corp.


Ok, hanno rotto il contratto con la Sony... e adesso che succederà?

non è così sorprendente in fondo, ce lo aspettavamo! La sony ha scaricato i suoi clienti per molto meno...(v la lopez che ha venduto "solo" 300.000 copie)
Probabilmente il nuovo album sarà pubblicato per l'etichetta che ha ronson sotto contratto , ora faccio qualche ricerca in giro...

In questa città stà iniziando a fare caldo. La visita di Nick Hodgson Lunedì ci ha messi in moto(proprio mentre metto questo online)in un'orgia di creazione. Diversamente da Dio comunque, ci riposeremo non solo Domenica, ma Sabato e probabilmente anche oggi per riprenderci dai postumi della sbornia che in genere segue il tipo di party che abbiamo fatto in queste settimane; dimenticate i weekend - sono fatti per gli idioti. Grazie al Cane è Venerdì* - "Voglio andare in rehab."

Mark R è davvero un uomo tranquillo. E' sorprendente perciò che la sua presenza abbia un effetto così grande, ma ce l'ha. A volte tendiamo a essere la tipica band in cui quello che urla più forte, o che tiene duro più a lungo,vince; quell'approccio non va proprio bene con Mark alla produzione dell'album.

Io credo che noi, come band, siamo tutti ben consapevoli dei suoi modi sottovalutati, e c'è una sorta di tacito accordo tra noi sul fatto che dobbiamo tenere a freno ogni tipo di ampollosità per questo progetto per lavorare in maniera adeguata. Ed è così - abbiamo lavorato su ben tre canzoni nuove ieri da soli, e a questo ritmo riusciremo sicuramente a uguagliare Prince - doppio album verso doppio album quest'anno.

CMQ,qualcuno vuole veramente,scusate,qualcuno sa veramente cosa farsene - di un doppio album al giorno d'oggi?

Per la cronaca,vorrei dire che m'è piaciuto lavorare con Timbaland, Justin e Nate Hills. E cosa più importante, per me non c'è nulla di catastrofico in Red Carpet Massacre - io lo adoro ancora fottutamente.**

E,forse la migliore notizia di oggi: Siamo liberi dalla casa discografica SONY.

*Fantastico gioco di parole tra GOD e DOG pur di far riferimento al piccolo Luigi ma anche una splendida citazione di quello che è un famoso film del 1978 con Donna Summer che riprendeva a sua volta una frase lanciata da un noto speaker radiofonico e diventata per tutti gli americani un modo per scaricare la tensione della settimana lavorativa.
**Qualcuno non ha l'impressione che si sia letto qualche nostro commento sul fatto di aver "rinnegato" Timbaland & soci????
