Thank you so much for the photos of Papa's new home. It is very interesting and comforting to see where he will be living. I hope somehow we will see photos occasionally of him in and around his new residence in the future.

The photos of the monastery are wonderful, so we will have an imagination of how it looks like where our Papa will live even though I am sure it will look different as soon as the renovation work is done.

I am happy for Papa that he will now rest in Castel Gandolfo and then retire in such a nice place within Vatican City.
But I am very sad that we will not see him anymore.
I will miss him so much.
He was my torch of Faith!

Who knows, Nan! I always remember with joy the good old times when we met in Rome.

Thank you so much, Gabriella for the videos. I've been gathering as many as I can to view again even if I did see all of them Live. It was a beautiful Farewell, many tears shed and all of Papa's remarks said in a way only he could.

Well, I'm never going to meet any of you in Rome not with dialysis costing upwards of $2500 per treatment, 3x a week ... you all will have to make pilgrimage to Kalaupapa!

My life has kind of been "on hold" during these last two weeks between posting and emailing everywhere ... I want people to realize what a wonderful man Papa is and what a brilliant teaching papacy we had. And what courage he displayed in his wonderful efforts in reconciliation and ecumenism.

We'll keep him in prayer as we know he is praying for us.

Se n'è andato come aveva desiderato, in semplicità e bellezza, quasi in punta di piedi, dopo una lunga meditazione interiore che abbiamo trovato degna del massimo rispetto.
Ha scelto di rispondere alla volontà di Dio, come è stato rivelato alla sua coscienza.
La luce della sera romana in un tranquillo pomeriggio d'inverno.
Come sospeso tra cielo e terra, l'elicottero sorvola la Città Eterna: che splendore mozzafiato le cupole con i tetti d'oro, i Castelli Romani, il lago di Albano nella sua verde distesa... E la bonomia del popolo romano in piedi sugli spalti, la gioia alla finestra dell'appartamento di Castel Gandolfo.
Sappiamo che egli è lì, pregando, lavorando, consumando le sue ultime forze al servizio di Cristo e della sua Chiesa.
Forse vedremo ancora il suo bel viso.
Il suo silenzio ci consolerà.

Thank you Gabriella for those beautiful thoughts. Truly, as I watched the helio leaving Rome I did feel a little bit more alone and when I heard his last sweet words from the window at Castel Gandolfo and he turned to go, I did want to say, No! Stay! Don't Go! But, we do respect his decision and better that he could hear us than not.

After all, we have his brilliant words and the good Lord to lead us deeper into the One Relationship that really matters.
