Ecco i result del doppio show della IWA-MS dedicato ai tecnici/flyer
Night 1:
WA Mid-South Ted Petty Invitational Night One:
Crowd was close to 300, which isn't as much as "We're No Joke" on 4/1, but bigger than most Midlo shows. Everyone who was scheduled showed up.
M-Dogg 20 defeated Ricochet. Decent opener. They are very similar in styles it looked like, but M-Dogg had the better offense.
Mike Quackenbush defeated Colt Cabana in an excellent match. My personal favorite of the night. Mostly a comedy match but they flowed together so well.
Hallowicked defeated Scorpio Sky. Good match, with Sky getting in a lot of offense. I haven't watched much of either man, but i've seen more of Hallowicked's stuff from Chikara. I was impressed with both.
Chris Hero defeated Ricky Reyes. They both had about the same amount of offense, with Reyes almost making Hero submit to the dragon sleeper.
Trik Davis defeated Erick Stevens. Okay match, felt kinda short though. Afterwards though Hero came out and attacked Davis. The funny thing is, when Davis got attacked, the crowd turned so fast on him, siding with Hero. I'm looking for Hero to get a big pop tomorrow.
El Generico defeated Chris Bosh. Crowd turned it up a notch for this one. Generico got the win with a super brainbuster. Dueling "Bosh" and "Ole" chants ruled this one.
Claudio Castagnoli defeated Kevin Steen. I wasn't really into this match too well, but Double C dominated, but suffering a bloody nose in the process. For the record, Claudio and Hero both had the Chikara and ROH belts with them.
Roderick Strong defeated Brandon Thomaselli. Yeah, I thought this match was going to be stiff, and it was.
Davey Richards defeated Jigsaw. Another stiff one. Richards dominated though. He's a great performer, and an excellent physique. My first time seeing him.
Low Ki defeated Gran Akuma. Longest match of the night (about 18 minutes). HOLY S***! Stiffest match i've seen in a LONG time. Lots of near falls. Ki Krusher seals the deal.
Delirious defeated Scott Lost. Short match, but good.
Arik Cannon defeated B-Boy. B-Boy was way over with the crowd, receiving a "Welcome Back" chant. His fate was decided with a single Glimmering Warlock.
Post Show Thoughts: Overall a decent show. Night 2 will have a lot to decide if this surpasses the 2004 TPI. It still has a chance, especially w/ Ki/Richards and Quackenbush/Castagnoli already signed. Speaking of Quackenbush, his commentary on this show is nothing short of spectacular. We sat next to the commentary booth. Him and Ben Jordan did commentary for most of N1, with his enthusiasm showing the most during Ki/Akuma
