Per l’insieme della sua opera che il nostro pubblico conosce molto bene. Quest’anno abbiamo selezionato nel programma del Festival il suo ultimo film, SIERANEVADA, che è stato presentato in anteprima a Cannes lo scorso anno e sarà presto distribuito anche nelle sale italiane. Il cinema di Cristi Puiu, uno dei più importanti registi rumeni della sua generazione, denuncia con un’ironia pungente e tagliente gli aspetti più controversi e inquietanti della Romania di oggi.
For the whole of his work, that our audience knows so well. This year we have selected in the Festival programme his last work, his feature film SIERANEVADA, which premiered in Cannes last May and will be soon released in Italy. The work of Cristi Puiu, one of the most prominent Rumanian filmmakers of his generation, can denounce with sharp and biting irony the most controversial and unsettling aspects of today’s Rumania.

con la seguente motivazione / for the following reason:
With two dramatic stories – of a world that flees and of another that disappears – narrated in parallel, The Good Postman takes us to the peripheries of Europe to put humanity back to the center. Exploring the depth of the Bulgarian countryside, accompanied by traditional music, the films points the way to reconciliate the hopes for a better life of migrants with that of the abandoned villagers. The Good Postman advocates for democracy and the dialogue, it gives voice to the vision and generosity of ordinary people. It is universal and local at the same time and encourages to think over the choices that everyone of us has to make.
Narrando in parallelo due storie drammatiche – di un mondo che fugge e di uno che scompare – The Good Postman ci accompagna alla periferia d’Europa rimettendo l’umanità al centro. Mentre ci accompagna con la musica tradizionale nella profondità della campagna bulgara, il film prova a riconciliare le speranze di una vita migliore dei migranti in transito con quella degli abitanti di un villaggio in stato di abbandono. The Good Postman è un film che crede nella democrazia, nel dialogo, che dà voce alla lungimiranza e alla generosità di persone semplici. È universale e locale allo stesso tempo e ci spinge a riflettere sulle scelte che ognuno di noi deve fare.

FILM CHE HO VISTO:
NB Ho visto pochi film perchè da lunedì mi sono ammalato e non ho più potuto seguire. Tuttavia ho visto alcuni film di qualità notevole, capolavori, vedere le mie votazioni, che spero di riveder presto nelle sale.
