STORIA DELLA CANZONE:
“Long black limousine” fu composta da Bobby George e da Vern Stovall e quest’ultimo la registrò per primo nel 1961 (Crest 1080).
La canzone venne incisa da numerosi altri artisti, fra i quali Glen Campbell (1962), Jody Miller (1968) Bobby Bare e George Hamiton negli anni ’60 e da Rose Maddox (1962).
In verità la primissima registrazione sarebbe quella di Wynn Stewart nel 1958 ma la sua versione fu pubblicata solo nel maggio del 2000 all’interno del box “Wishful thanking” (Bear Family number BCD15886).
