Penso che si girerà anche i pub metal

Si mi devo ambientare perche' sto cercando casa, lavoro, quindi mi serve solo un po' di tempo per ingranare. So molte cose di dublino, cmq impossibile non frequentare temple bar, anche se poco irlandese, visto che e' un puttanaio allucinante!!!

Io sono per ora a dublin 6, rathmines, quartiere molto tranquillo e veramente carino. I miei flatmate sono simpatici e mi trovo bene.

Spero di trovare qualche pub,luogo metal, ne ho veramente bisogno!!!

This bar is probably one of Dublin's best kept secrets. Upstairs is a long bar the length of the pub and they have live Blues on Saturday night. Downstairs is where the Rockers hang out – the jukebox is decent enough and the pints aren't as expensive as most other pubs in the area. Katy Dalys & The Limelight


Katy Dalys is not a Rock bar as such, but it's about as close as Belfast is likely to come to such a thing. There's a generally relaxed atmosphere, with a pub quiz on Monday nights and bands playing most other times.
Rock bands do play there occasionally, specially every Saturday afternoon there is a session known as rocKD with two Metal live bands. Doors open at 3.30, Admission is £2.50. You can check the organisator´s web site for schedules: The Distortion Project (they also run occasional night time gigs showcasing local/touring bands, and have their own Metal radio show available in the Belfast area.

The Limelight has occasional Wednesday Rock clubs (called NARF), maybe one every month, watch out for flyers. Mixture of Nu and True Metal. Doors open at 9:30 and entrance is £3.

Laverys Back Bar


Lavery's Back Bar is rather a poor substitute for the good old days. The place, in addition to its, down-to-earth crowd, has a jukebox with some decent Rock songs on it. The atmosphere can be good for a relaxing beer. Later in the evening sometimes bands leaning in a Rock-ish direction are playing. Certainly, grinding guitars are among the instruments played in the back bar on a fairly regular basis. It´s certainly worth a look if you've nothing else to do ;-)

Not really a Metal bar, but it's dark, dank, atmospheric, and you get all types hanging around in relaxed atmosphere. Weekly Saturday cover Rock band performances, sometimes more Metallic ones. Good destination to have some beers. Check out their website for gig dates and tickets.

The Venue


Modern Metal night is held weekly on Friday, while there's also a Classic/ Hard Rock disco on Saturday (free entrance before 10:30). Recently, Friday nights have been almost too popular, but if you make it in, the place is generally packed with a relatively young and enthusiastic crowd. Mi sta un po' preoccupando, perche' girando per negozi, ho notato che i reperti metal sono quasi inesistenti, e quando si trova qualcosa i prezzi sono esagerati. Ad esempio gli ultimi dischi dei Pain Of Salvation d#o dei Dream Theater stanno a 25, 22 euro!!!

Vabbeh, mi buttero' sulla musica tradizionale irlandese

Aahhaha, in realta', nonostante sia un grande fans dei DT quell'album non mi fa impazzire, preferisco di gran lunga i primi, quelli piu' prog... Se ti e' piaciuto quello, prova Train Of Thought, l,album piu' heavy che hanno fatto e sta alla larga dall'ultimo, octavarium!!

Non succede nulla, il fatto che la casa sembra fin troppo tranquilla, nel senso che e' quasi sempre vuota e non c'e' mai nessuno,
ma mi piace, certo mi ci vuole un po' di ambientamento, devo conoscere le persone che ci vivono ed il Landlord. Finora, oltre il
ragazzo che mi ha fatto vedere la casa, ho scoperto che accanto alla mia camera ci sono due polacche, che ho conosciuto questi
giorni....niente di che....peccato...

Quest'ultimo periodo sono stato un po' impegnato, tra lavoro, gite fuori porta e ehm....ok sono stato in Scozia ed in giro per l'Irlanda, ma a Pasqua mi sono riposato, niente pub, niente alcol, insomma solo relax.....
