This "International discussion folder" is a fantastic idea !

I'd like to introduce myself :
I am a Matsumoto's work admirer from France.
I discovered his work at the very end of the 70's with "Uchû kaizoku Captain Harlock".
I was a great fan, even cosplaying like the pirate at that time ^_^

Then I grew older and had to go toward "serious" things, you know. And suddenly even Adults we became started to remember the old one-eyed Pirate and I was one of them !

I was lucky because the following year, Matsumoto released new animes like Harlock Saga, and since then many great series.

In France we tried to make a webring to bring together different webmasters fans of Matsumoto's work :
webring Leiji francophone
and we created a shared central forum (in French) :
TokiNoWa

Now a few years later we have been part of many official DVD releases (by writing texts for the booklets, interviews, official website design) as spare time fun.

I am sure that this great place right here we'll allow many fans to exchange great informations and ideas and have great time discussing Matsumoto's work !

I hope fans from many countries will join us

Yes I know and I am not confusing them at all.

I was speaking of Harlock Saga released in 1999. I was writing about the past events previous to the birth of the French webring

1979 : Uchû kaizoku Captain Harlock on TV in France
2000 : Uchû kaizoku Captain Harlock on VHS in France
2001 : Harlock Saga released on VHS in France and DVD in US
2003 : Birth of the French webring

That's all.

I was not speaking of Captain Herlock Endless Odyssey.
Captain Herlock Endless Odyssey was released only in 2005 in France and we created the French official website : http://www.captainherlock.tv/

I discovered his work with "Starblazers", the american censored version of Uchu Senkan Yamato.
I was a great fan at the time, and later I started my search for the series episodes. From there, I started an italian newsgroup on animation and eventually managed to fly to Japan and meet Leiji Matsumoto himself in spite of my friends making fun of my wish.

Meanwhile I started this group, and now it seems we're getting an international flavour added to our forum.

So, I'm confident you'll like our company and I look forward to have more people interested in our international discussion folder.

Hola amigos! pues disculpen que reviva tan antiguo post, pero no aguante las ganas de pasar a saludarlos!

Hace muchos años que era fan de Queen Millennia, Uchuu Senkan Yamato y Starzinger, series que marcaron mi infancia y que luego pude tener en mi poder y volver a disfrutarlas.

En este viaje, me he encontrado con muchos fans de Matsumoto, de Francia, de Italia ahora y yo que soy de Chile, decidí crear una web latina para los que hablamos español, el resultado es www.leijiverselatino.com y en este proyecto se me han sumado muchas personas de lugares tan distintos como Chile, Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica, Francia, España, Ecuador, Mexico, etc!

Espero que sigamos en contacto, así como tenemos contacto con nuestros amigos de www.tokinowa.net de Francia y logremos expandir más aún la obra de Leiji.
