📣AAAM are delighted to announce that this week we have commenced restoration of our Tiger I turret!! 💥 After collecting parts for several years we are now putting the jigsaw together! 🧩 As you can see from the pictures there is a lot of bent and distorted metal that needs to be made good! 💥Tiger Turret Update💥 Glen and Beau have made good progress on our Tiger turret since our last update. After a lot of cutting, banging and welding it is really starting to take shape now! 🛠🛠 The turret will make its debut at The Museum on August 30, the eve of AusArmourfest! ***TIGER TURRET UPDATE*** After many packets of stainless steel electrodes Glen and Beau have finished welding up our Tiger I Turret! 🛠⚒ Next step in the process is the trial fit of the 88mm gun and mantlet, before the fitting of the left and right trunnions that will support the gun! Special thanks to David Byrden for his technical assistance on this project! The turret will be making its debut at AusArmourfest 2019! 💥💥

💥TIGER UPDATE💥 Now that our brilliant father and son team Glen and Beau have completed our Stug IV last week, they are getting stuck into the Tiger I resto! 🛠🔩 Have a look through these pictures and you can see some before and after shots of the 100mm lower glacis plate which you can see was badly twisted, bent and broken. This is challenging work for any metal fabricator! There is evidence of teller mines being used to blow it literally to pieces 💥😱

💥TIGER I UPDATE💥 Time to give everyone an update on our static Tiger I resto! We have commenced putting our Tiger I hull together, as you can see the left and right sides are new along with part of the floor. This is necessary due to the fact that the original hull pieces that we have were beyond practical repair. A tough decision to make! We thought it best to be honest with our loyal followers! We have the option in the future to make this a running vehicle, but with so many projects either underway or in the pipeline we need to keep moving!

💥TIGER I UPDATE💥 A massive big thanks to everybody that took part in our survey last week, we are looking closely at the results with the view to giving you more of what you want to see! 🤩 It may not look like much has been done since our last tiger post but we can assure you that we have been flat out machining new and repairing old parts for the wheel stations. The Tiger is an extremely complex vehicle with many many components of fine tolerance. 🛠 It is clear to us that those Germans never expected us Aussies to be repairing their battle damaged equipment!!! 🤔 As always stay tuned for further updates!
