ELVIS IN NASHVILLE di novembre
Non mi piace "fare pubblicità" ad un disco ma faccio un'eccezione in quanto si tratta di un'emissione davvero meritevole di essere acquistata.
Sto parlando di "Elvis in Nashville" che sarà disponibile dal 20 novembre in un set di 4 CD con ulteriori 2 LP, per gli amanti del vinile.
In questi anni di profonda crisi del CD, causata dalla "generazione mordi e fuggi", quella che ha come suo motto la superficialità ed esegue solo download digitali o ascolta in streaming la musica (non avendo poi in mano nulla di concreto e questo è, a mio parere, assurdo), le emissioni dedicate ad Elvis si sono sempre più diradate e siamo arrivati ad averne una sola all'anno (non mi riferisco alla FTD ma a quelle dedicate al vasto pubblico, targate SONY/BMG/RCA).
In passato abbiamo acquistato decine di inutili complations, decine di bootlegs inascoltabili in quanto registrati dal vivo 45 anni fa in mezzo ad un'enorme arena...
Perché NON comperare questo splendido cofanetto ?
Il prezzo è si aggira sui 45 euro, sono 4 CD corredati da un booklet, Elvis è al massimo della sua grazia artistica, nel giugno 1970...
La cifra, ripeto, è abbordabile (a differenza di quella del set della FTD che sta per essere distribuito) ed è anche per questo che esorto tutti voi a fare uno sforzo economico in questo maledetto 2020, per allietarci le orecchie con ore ed ore di grande musica.
Alla faccia dello streaming e dei download digitali !
La musica deve tornare ad essere SOLIDA e non liquida.

Sono curioso di ascoltare le canzoni di "Elvis Country".
Come sapete originariamente furono inserite in quel 33 giri con i frammenti di "I was born about ten thousand years ago" all'inizio e alla fine.
Solo nel 1995, nel grande cofanetto "Walk a mile in my shoes", le hanno inserite come "avrebbero dovuto essere". Ma rifecero tutti i mixaggi, se non ricordo male, sudando le proverbiali sette camice.
Idem per "Patch it up" che, nella versione in studio, è (si può tranquillamente dire), "rara".
Anche nel 1995 rifecero questo mixaggio.
