"Talk To Her are an electro-wave-rock band from Italy with a dark, incisive and powerful sound attitude, playing together since late 2015. After a year dedicated to writing songs, they started playing in the most famous clubs and summer festivals in northern and center of Italy. In 2018 they published HOME under the label Shyrec with excellent feedback from the public, magazines and webzines, in Italy and in Europe. HOME is an EP of 4 tracks, anticipated by the video of the single "Zodiac". The HOME experience culminates in 2019 with the participation at Monitor Festival (Minimal Wave & Post Punk Rendez Vous) in Leiria, Portugal. Talk To Her are currently working on Love Will Come Again, their first full length album, due for release in February 2020.
Love Will Come Again is Talk To Her’s debut album, their second production after the EP HOME (2018). It’s an album about love as an overwhelming power, a mystical experience of life that might be even the hardest: ten tracks, a decalogue describing it as the supreme law which controls and regulates everything.
It reminds us firstly of the fragility of innocence (Innocence), telling us how suspicion in a relationship can be hard to handle (Truth), as well as with the feeling of pain and grief (Ibisco).
Then it investigates how it feels to get lost still waiting in deathly silence (Hollow) or trying to fill the void of those who are missing (The Caller).
In the end this journey is sealed with a confession (Confessions), a dialogue with our inner ghost, when losing yourself is the way to find your mind again.
LWCA is the investigation of love as a mass phenomenon transformed in a routine of meaningless images by a poetical practice.
LWCA is the dramatic story of the eternal fight between a fragile human being and a society that doesn’t live love because love dominates it.
LWCA is a suffered warning.
LWCA is a loud shout.
LWCA is a violent rebellion.
Love has always had its absolute, strict, seducing rules.
Its dictatorship has been coming back since ever.
It will come back forever."

"JE T'AIME - the new addictive scream of modern post-punk - is back. Almost a year after putting out its astonishing debut LP, the French galvanizing outfit is releasing today a new remix EP titled en négatif - REMIXES, as a celebration to Valentine's Day. For those who don't know, JE T'AIME has been growing like fire between de underground European musical scenario since the release of Je T'Aime (2019, Icy Cold Records/Manic Depression), an album that is raw, dirty, controversial, but highly addictive and incredible, just like love.
en négatif - REMIXES contains a total of five tracks signed by four contemporary names in the darkwave scene: She Pleasures HerSelf, Ash Code, Zus and Ambassador 21. In the album you can find new interpretations for tracks such as "The Sound", "Dance" and "Hide & Seek". To celebrate the release of this new EP, JE T'AIME is also premiering today a new version for the original "The Sound" music video, in which both theme and video are remixed by She Pleasures HerSelf."

"Four years after the release of the debut album, the French Tisiphone are back, this time, for an absolutely changeable adrenaline injection that will follow the short-duration format. The new EP, entitled KOMA FORTE, hits the shelves and consists of a total of six themes in an approximate duration of half an hour. From the new EP - which received additional details this week - the track "Atomic Tissue" had previously been released, which can be heard below with audiovisual work.
KOMA FORTE follows the trio's first career LP, TISIPHONE and presents a very eclectic sound without being attached to a single conception. From entertainment theater to widely sentimental sounds, the new EP by Tisiphone promises to make a stir in 2020. In addition to "Atomic Tissue", the French have presented in live performances the theme "Heureux Je Suis" which will also integrate the alignment of the new work."

Co-Production with Destructure Records + Sabotage Records
Functionnally Extinct ? Ou plutôt Fervidly distinct!"
Score: 8/10
Élodie DENIS de NEW NOISE MAGAZINE (FR)
"Bleakness started in Nantes (west of France) in early 2016. The band is made up of longtime activists of the French and U.K. DIY punk/alternative scene. The band formed out of a need to express feelings of unease that resulted from witnessing the frustration and desperation spawned out of an oppressive system.
In the beginning, they created fast and tensed hardcore punk songs infused with melancholic melodies. After a handful of local shows, Bleakness quickly embarked on their first European tour. During the two following years, between releasing EPs and constantly playing shows and tours in France and abroad, the trio kept busy working on new songs, each new song giving more space for post pun- influenced melodies to evolve.
Late in 2018, after relocating to Lyon, Bleakness solidified their lineup with the arrival of a new drummer, and finalized the writing of their first full length. Functionally Extinct is set to be released late 2019 on Sabotage records in Germany, Destructure records in France (vinyl), and Icy Cold records (CD). The sound is a perfect combination of the sadness of early 80s post-punk and the anger of modern French, hardcore punk."

"PARKING DANCE, Matthieu Bonnécuelle's solo project born in 2017, debuts at the French house Icy Cold Records with WHAT MORE?, the first official career LP to hit the shelves a year after BORDEL (2018). Matthieu Bonnécuelle has got us used from the beginning to its frenetic rhythms painted in post-punk and with textures mirrored on every corner. A typically colorful sound with monochromatic rhythmic structures and traces of the psych-rock that arrives in late 2019 to put PARKING DANCE on the radar of upcoming projects in the dark underground scene.
This new WHAT MORE? had previously been released the dream pop-rock of "A34BYE". In addition to the alignment of this new LP, "WANNABE" and "LUVBOY" (from the album GOOD BOY), "REJECTED", "TINY MOONS" and "OUR RIGHT" (from BORDEL), "SURPRISE" (from TA RACE) and "OVERNOON" (from the album FOCK) are also part of it."

DOUBLE ECHO - "Burning In Blue" [ICR030]
[Post-Punk - Darkwave - Dream-pop. UK]
Available on Digital & CD DIGIPACK
Listen & Buy the Album
"Burning In Blue" is the fourth album of the Liverpool trio, and comes two years after the previous "Period Rooms". The new album offers us nine darkwave tracks with mostly ethereal and introspective tones, as if the setting was that of a Victorian house haunted by ghosts, and in this sense the cover image evokes these feelings, keeping in line with the atmosphere of the previous album, with respect to which I find a greater cohesion, for a songwriting and production certainly superior.
It starts with the instrumental "Screen II", followed by "Some Essential Thing", a song in which Ellon's voice and the delicate guitar arpeggios remind me of certain things of Mephisto Waltz; the same feelings are evoked by "Felix & Tantrum", where Ellon's voice gives the best of its potential.
A marked bassline and a warm male voice characterize "Automatic Doors".
"The Position" is the potential hit of the album, and not by chance it was chosen to anticipate the album; a track with strong echoes of Clan Of Xymox, where guitar, bassline and synth trace the coordinates of a perfect example of "gothic" sound. The atmospheres become soft again in "The Watch" and at the beginning they're soft again in "The Landing", but then they evolve towards an acceleration that characterizes the second half of the album.
He closes the title-track, reiterating the introspective tone of the album; a record far from the more post-punk/gothic-rock atmospheres of the debut album "Phantomime"; the evolution of Double Echo's sound has been constant (touching its apex, at least as far as I'm concerned, with the album "La Danza" and the Ep "Ancient Youth") and now arrives at a record far away from the club atmospheres, to be enjoyed in the darkness of one's own room.

"The first LP of the 3 guys from Helsinki. "Dark Sonic Tidal Wave" is the name of the sound, as the band itself states. Gloomy Wave with electric part and catchy vocals, reminiscent of the last Killing Joke.

Live Review:
"[DI: UNRU:] played a cool, Old School Punk & Wave set and spread the right vibes all around for that night. The genre name they give themselves is “Dark Sonic Tidal Gloomy Wave’. It was definitely an energetic, fun performance, the crowd started dancing right away and the band with the Gloomy Wave paired with the catchy vocals played themselves immediately into the hearts of the audience. A cool discovery of the night."

"The first album of this band from Rome is a must for those who love relaxing on the couch in the evening and listening to beautiful music, dreaming with open eyes (or slightly open). If you mention “shoegaze” and “dream-pop”, you immediately wonder: Will it be the same old story of sounds and celestial voices, which recall the Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil and other bands belonging to the 4AD’s projects? Even if the answer is partially affirmative, the 3+Dead demonstrates to be able to add something fascinating and unusual to its proposal […] Another great debut to add to our next listening list.
Vote: 8/10"

"Rome, Italy 2017. 3+Dead sees the light of day and offers us a debut that warms a winter’s heart with honest mixture between dark wave, postpunk and shoegaze. The voice of Elisa does make a comparison with a cult act as Cocteau Twins is relevant, although 3+ Dead is far from being a copy. The postpunk shifts from dreamy melancholy to dancable and even darker pieces. That’s where the label dark wave comes in, but each single song breaths quality and intensity. Grab this album, it is a hell of a debut!"
