4-9 July Polish Infinity player visiting Milan.

Greeting all Infinity players in Italy!

I'am going to visit Milan on 4-9 of July and I was hoping that perhaps there are some players with whom I might play/exchange experience or just talk about our common hobby.

I play NCA and Aleph and over the last 2 years have run a few Infinity campaigns and events. I have two Infinity tables at home and would gladly share some tricks on creating great/cheap Infinity terrain and buildings.

I would be really interested in seeing how Infinity is played in Italy. Now that ITS has become popular I can see that there are many players participating in the ITS tournament system. I have participated in some tournaments locally as a player/referee and could offer some experience/interpretations/tactics.

I would be really grateful for an opportunity to learn something new about Infinity from the perspective of Italian players.

here we are, you posted in the right place...

Then we move to flaws...at moment, Milan does not see any place (store) where we can meet and play/ discuss Infinity... maybe you may find a sort of "borning" gaming club for Infinity at Ludoteca of S. Uguzzone (here I hope a couple of users will chime in to eventually give the proper information regarding this place and whom you may meet there and which activity you may find (play?)...The same users may be also aware of other stores that recently "talk" about Infinity in the northern part of Milan or its neighborhood)...

If you move nearly 50km south from Milan there is the Contea del Falcone, which is a store, gaming club collecting Infinity since a while. There, on the 6th of july an ITS Tournament is held (here again I hope several users will chime in to give additional information)...

Currently, I am very busy and I am not playing often... I have been also missing the most recent ITS tournaments...

I hope that the various users will chime in to develop an interesting and useful discussion...

Thanks for your reply and all the helpful information. Without you I probably wouldn't be able to find the tournament information.

My wife is going to be carrying a large poster to be presented at the conference so I can fit into the tube a Boarding action Infinity mat so I'm quite self-sufficient in terms of table/miniatures/dice/templates and time.

I will definitely try to attend the tournament on the 6th of July, I might even convince my wife to come with me if she'll have the time.

We are currently in the process of selecting the hotel to stay at in Milan, could you recommend a place near Piazzale Carlo Magno 1 (MiCo) which is the conference venue, and a place where there might be someplace to play or a good connection with the place where the tournament is going to be held? (train/bus station)

I am waiting for an admin confirmation to be able to post posts on the tournament thread and try to see if any other players might be coming over from Milan to join them on the way...

well, the square you posted for the Conference is in the center of Milan...

...The tournament is being held in Lodi...which is nearly 50km from Milan... I would suggest train from Milan to Lodi and wayback, but then you have to arrange with the users participating there to move from Lodi station to Contea del Falcone...and to bring you back to the station in Lodi...

There will be an other option too...I got in touch with mate in pavia (35km south milan)...we will arrange playing probably...we will go there by car...

Thanks for all your posts. I'm definitely going to take part in the tournament and would also like to meet with you on a less formal basis (gaming club in Milan/restaurant).

Besides being an Infinity player I'm also a long time Dungeon Master and host a lot of RPG sessions (Warhammer, Dark Heresy, D&D, WoD)so I'm used running an open house and my wife developed a rather high tolerance for my hobbies so there shouldn't be a problem with running short of time.
