CD AROUND THE WORLD

Sperando di far cosa gradita, fra un ritaglio di tempo e l'altro dei miei inserimenti sul sito che sta procedendo, direi, molto bene, ecco una nuova sezione dedicata alle infinite antologie di CD editi dalla RCA/BMG/SONY in tutto il mondo.
Queste schede sono tratte dal sito ELVIS ON CD, una vera "Bibbia" per gli amanti dei silver discs dedicati ad Elvis.

Buona lettura.

Pubblicato nel 2000 negli Stati Uniti (BMG COL-CD 0801/02/03/04/05) e adesso quotato circa 100 euro, questo box di legno di 5 CD aveva una tiratura di 500 copie.
Venne pubblicato dalla RCA Special Products in collaborazione con Collectables Records Corporation.

Pubblicato nel 1987 dalla BMG tedesca (BMG ND 90047) e distribuito anche in Italia, è una bella compilazione di brani poco sfruttati degli anni '60 e '70, davvero valida.

Pubblicato in Austria nel 1988 nella "Diamond Series" (BMG CD 90112), il CD fu poi commercializzato anche nella serie "Reflections" (BMG CD 90227).
Inoltre fu pubblicato anche in Australia nel 1989 (BMG BPCD 5020) e nel 1990, sempre nella Diamond Series. Le covers sono le stesse per i due paesi.
Si tratta di una raccolta di canzoni da film degli anni sessanta, eccetto "Tomorrow is a long time".

Per celebrare il 70° anniversario del compleanno di Elvis, la SONY/BMG ha intrapreso la campagna più ambiziosa nella storia recente dell'industria discografica inglese per quanto riguarda i singoli.
Si tratta di un box di 18 CD singles numerato (Sony/BMG 828766665628) che contiene altrettanti compact discs singoli.
A partire dal 3 gennaio 2005, questi CD singles vennero pubblicati anche separatamente, fino al 25 aprile dello stesso anno, per 17 settimane consecutive.
L'artwork dei CD è quello dei 45 giri originali.

Questa raccolta di grandi successi venne pubblicata in Giappone nel 1989 (BMG DRF-2009).
Si tratta del nono CD di una serie di 14, disponibile per posta. La serie, denominata "The Memorable Popular Hit Parade", era disponibile solo attraverso un mail order della compagnia "Victor family club" (gli altri CD includono brani di altri artisti).
Oggi il dischetto di Elvis è quotato circa 100 euro.

Io ne ho qualcuno, di questi CD che ho inserito. Non molti, per la verità perché cerco di evitare le compilazioni "inutili" in quanto ci pensa la SONY a riempirmi di cavolate...
Ma non ho saputo resistere al box di CD singoli inglese, anche se costava molto...

Mica facile trovarlo, a 22 anni dalla sua ultima edizione !
