STORIA DELLA CANZONE:
“When my blue moon turns to gold again” venne composta da Wiley Walker e da Gene Sullivan nel 1941 e venne registrata per la prima volta dagli stessi compositori.
I due vennero ispirati per questo brano da un loro viaggio nell’ovest del Texas, in una serata di luna piena. Mentre guidavano sull’autostrada, l’alba si stava avvicinando e Walker notò che i colori della luna stavano cambiando dal blu all’oro.
Altre popolari registrazioni di questo brano sono quelle di Cindy Walker (1944, 5° in classifica), di Zeke Manners & The Singing Lariateers nel 1947 e di Tex Ritter nel 1949.
