Breeding these two colorations is often done.

You just have to keep in mind they (gold and Silver) are on the same "Locus" (= a place on the chromosome-line) and they are sex-linked (= a cock have 2 alleles of them a hen have only 1 allel of it).

-This means a cock can be homozygote (= pure) for Silver (= S/S) or he can be homozygote for gold (=s+/s+) or he can be heterozygote (= unpure) than he is Golden (S/s+).
-This means a hen can be only hemizygote (= pure) for Silver (= S/-) or for gold (= s+/-).

-Remarke the "S" for Silver is written always with a capital letter this means this Silver is dominant over the "s+" which is gold.
-Remarke also that the "s+" is written with a "+" behind it, this means that it is the original coloration and the "S" not have that "+", this means it is a mutated coloration.

Do you want more explications or do you say it is enough ?
