L'ho detto e ridetto: storyline 'alla Benoit' dell'eterno gregario che alla fine dopo innumerevoli batoste arriva al successo e Roddy sarà un campione credibilissimo. Carisma e mic skill insufficienti? Pure il canadese, ma sul ring compensava di brutto. Strong non sarà Benoit, ma facendo match della Madonna in quasi tutti gli show si sta conquistando il rispetto e soprattutto il TIFO del pubblico come mai prima d'ora. Può bastare?

Di grandi match ne ha sempre fatti, il problema è che il talento passa in secondo piano quando non ti sai proporre.
Nel 2009 sembra che siano tornati a notarlo, dopo un 2007/2008 piuttosto anonimi, ma il suo problema è che verrà sempre dopo qualcuno: Dragon, Nigel, Morishima, Aries, e persino Tyler Black, che in due anni di push è andato più vicino lui al titolo di quanto abbia mai fatto Roddy.

Piccolo OT sul fatto che "non è Benoit": non sarà pari al canadese tecnicamente, ma non penso abbia molto da invidiargli come wrestler a tutto tondo. Fine OT.

Mah, ogni anno sembra poter essere l'anno buono per Roddy, ma o gli passa davanti qualcuno (Hero, Omega) o si resta sui classici nomi (Tornado, Ryan). Non vedo nessun motivo per sperare che possa succedere qualcosa di diverso, non c'è neppure la situazione della ROH dove comunque si sono liberati certi posti importanti.

Deto questo cmq anche io sono un grande fan di Roderick ma sinceramente se gli passano davanti Hero e Omega la cosa nn mi dispiacerebbe

Ho appena finito di vedere GBH e avrei un paio di domandine tecniche per i piu esperti:

- perchè il pubblico fischiava e prendeva per il culo Sinclair?

- final battle segue comunque la continuity...allora perchè mandarlo in onda live?

1)perchè a quanto pare non avevano di meglio da fare che godersi un buon (secondo i report) Aries vs Williams.

2)Perchè credo abbiano sfruttato l'opportunità offerta loro da GFL e quindi hanno creduto meglio puntare più su uno show live rispetto a una continuità risultata secondaria in questo caso.

Sinclair viene sempre "simpaticamente" fischiato e buueggiato dai fans... senza andare troppo lontano nella seconda serata di DBD VII quando Bison Smith colpisce Todd venendo squalificato il pubblico è li a gridare "one more time"

E' una lunga e vecchia tradizione quella di fischiare Sinclair, c'è da veramente tanto tempo. Anche se francamente non ricordo quando e perchè è nata.
Poi adesso si è anche unita quella di osannare Turner a NYC dopo l'episodio col tifoso, che la rende ancora più "particolare"

Un esperimento. Stan provando nuove strade. Del resto anche chi va a vedere gli shows live da un certo punto di vista è "fuori continuity". Ma in generale quello indies è un tipo di prodotto che difficilmente si può vedere "no spoiler", perchè perdi tantissime cose, dalle news, ai video wire, al poter parlare di ciò che succede "in contemporanea", al fatto che perdendo le succitate l'hype non optrà mai essere lo stesso. Questo esperimento ha permesso a chi ha voluto farlo di riuscire a vedere uno show da no spoiler, per me non è una cosa da poco. Spero lo rifacciano.

sulla seconda parte sono d'accordo ma nonostante io cerchi di seguire da no spoiler seguo sempre le news, i video wire e la costruzione della crd (ovviamente da no spoiler e quindi man mano che avanzo leggo quello subito dopo lo show che ho visto)

Dopo tre anni, potrò finalmente vedere Man Up.

Chiamatemi pure scemo, ma sono troppo contento, visto che finora avevo potuto soltanto leggere i commenti entusiasti delle persone, ma senza poter vedere nulla.

Però il match + importante (il ladder war) è uno di quelli che per essere apprezzati appieno bisognerebbe aver seguito tutto il feud precedente.
